Carl Minnier, formally at Essex, now retired, initiated the Student Awards program more than twenty years ago. Through his efforts, students from community colleges as well as four year colleges and universities are honored for their efforts in chemistry. The student awards are an incentive for students' hard work in chemistry classes.
Student Award Honorees are solicited from the following colleges and universities located within the Maryland ACS boundaries:
